Overton is a sprawling neighborhood comprising all of Birmingham's Cahaba community. It covers most of the territory annexed by the city in the Cahaba Valley and along the U.S. Highway 280 corridor. Much of the property is owned by the Birmingham Water Works and includes Lake Purdy. Development is largely commercial and multi-family.
