Roosevelt
Roosevelt (or Roosevelt-Cairo Village) is a neighborhood on the southwestern corner of Birmingham. From 1967 to 1988 it was incorporated as an independent municipality. After being annexed into Birmingham, it was made part of the city's neighboring Brownville community. The neighborhood adjoins West Brownville to the east and the cities of Midfield to the north, Brighton to the west, and Lipscomb to the south. It is divided by Valley Creek and includes the Cairo Village, Hudson Grove and Broadmoor subdivisions.
